Hi everyone Thanks for your support of me and the others troops that are serving our country. I'm new to this blogging so bare with me. I am presently stationed at Ft. Sill Oklahoma and will be here until beginning of august when I will ship over to Iraq for a year. Things have been busy for me. I have been assigned platoon Sergeant for the second platoon of A company and will be promoted to Sergeant first class in the next couple of weeks. My responsibilities include more paperwork and meetings. Sounds like my old job.
I spent last Friday, Saturday, Sunday at the firing range from 7:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. completing both day and night fire. I qualified on my 9mm pistol, M4 rifle, and M203 grenade launcher. We are doing quite a few classes on basic soldier skills that pertain to us for surviving in Iraq.
I have today off. First day in 3 weeks. Its nice to have some time to get caught up on laundry, haircut, and a trip to the post exchange ( like a target store ).
Our training in the helicopters for the mission we will be doing over there starts tomorrow. We plan to fly tomorrow afternoon and night until about midnight. Todd

Hi Todd!
It sounds like you are kept pretty busy. Today it is very warm 84 degrees and wonderfully sunny. Spring fever has definitely come to visit. Todd, what kind of cookies, candy bars, magazines do you like? News today is: the gas price in the Metro area has hit the highest ever $3.09. They may close the gunflint trail because of fires. Everyone here at Corporate appreciates what all of you are doing and understand what you are truly sacrificing. Have a good week. Rita
